It is amazing that in this big business world there are still people like Mark and Janet that are dedicated to their product and even more dedicated to their clients.
As a performer, producer, director and just general theater “Junkie” I love working with Mark and Janet! From the first seconds of hearing and reading “How I Became a Pirate” I knew that I had found a team that was producing and would continue to produce outstanding theater for every age. "Sleepy Hollow: A Musical Tale" Commissioned by KALAMAZOO CIVIC THEATRE, Michigan
"Janet and Mark’s musicals are dynamic, energetic and simply well-written. How I Became A Pirate can be performed by an adult cast or by a youth cast. The music is challenging and yet fun and the book is hilarious but still delivers the message about home in a meaningful way.
What do we like about working with Mark and Janet? Everything! When we commissioned them for Sleepy Hollow, A Musical Tale, I had read over 12 scripts of the story by other writers but none were right for us. Janet and Mark agreed to write a musical version and the creative spin they put on the story works incredibly well. The music is haunting and hopeful. Frightening and fun. When they hit on the concept and had started writing the opening number, they called me and talked me through the story outline and sang the start of the opening number to me a cappella. Janet and Mark really listened to me and met the needs of our theatre program.
A long-time director and volunteer at the theatre still talks about Sleepy Hollow, A Musical Tale and how strong the production was! She felt that the music had depth and challenged the singers in a very successful way."
- Nicki Poer, Director of Education and Outreach at the Kalamazoo Civic Theatre Michigan
"The Magical Adventures of Merlin" Commissioned by THE CHILDREN'S THEATRE OF CINCINNATI
"Mark and Janet write such amazing works that it makes it extremely easy and enjoyable for any director to put their works on stage.
The music is contagious and the characters are delightful. I highly recommend any production written by this dynamic team!"
